Susan Leyland was born in Great Britain but has lived in Florence Italy since 1973

She held her first exhibition of sculpture and drawings in 1998 and the success of this event led to the collaboration with Gallery Tornabuoni Florence, Frost and Reed London and exhibitions in USA, France, England, Italy and Sweden.

Susan's sculptures are a blend of classical and contemporary art which give a feeling of balance, harmony and serenity. These sculptures are unique pieces, hand made in semi refractory clay of different colours. The making process takes over a period of three weeks during which time work on the sculpture develops creating its final form and finish. Susan's latest sculptures are an evolvement and study of her own work. Each sculpture is signed "Leyland" and stamped with a "L"
